My husband and I went out for a Sat breakfast downtown at Peter’s Place. I had read good reviews of this establishment despite passing by the unassuming and at first glance non-descript locale many times. Located within the building complex off Princess and Ontario St, it would be easy to miss the sign and entrance. We arrived to a full restaurant (fairly small with about 15 tables) shortly after 9 am and had to wait about 10 mins. However once sat down, we were treated to friendly service and menus showcasing a good variety of breakfast options. We were both quite hungry and each ordered the Farmer’s breakfast that included potatoes, eggs and style, choice of bacon, ham or sausage, toast, and three generous and fluffy pancakes. During our meal, there was a continual procession of new patrons, many of them whom were greeted by first name – a testament to customer loyalty to this small local business. Overall an old-fashioned and hearty repast to start a Saturday morning! We will certainly return!
